Snow or not, it's really amazing. Only been there that one time, it was like 10 degrees ! Glad you like the shot! It was like "stop the car, get out, take the shot while you could feel your hands for 10 seconds, get back in the car!"
Lol. I know what you mean. We went in November of last year, before the first snow fell. It was still very cold. Our last few days there were stormy and probably around 20 degrees. My husband and I would climb out of the warm car into the cold with our cameras, trying our best to keep our hands still and our bodies from shivering as we took photos. Needless to say, we didn't really get any great shots. Amazing place though. Our main destination was Zion Ntl Park, but we spent a few days visiting the other surrounding parks as well. Zion was surreal in its beauty. I felt like I had walked into fairytale. The hikes were just unbelievable.
I couldn't agree more! Zion is another world! There's so many different sides...bah I want to go back. Last time I was there I didn't even own a camera. I'm dying to get back there and take some shots. I want to see that Angel's trail area in your photo... never been in that direction! I was there in April or May... at least there's relief from the heat!
Ah November... just the openness of that place makes it feel extra cold! I spent my new years' day there. It was surprisingly busy for a holiday. Either way yeah haha... I'm sure we'll remember freezing taking our shots! The drive there was pretty neat too! I was with my aunt and grandmother since they live out that way. We stopped at that restaurant just outside Bryce, like the only one around. Pretty good food
Yeah, it's truly a captivating place. I have longed to go back there ever since we left. I spent our last day or two all teary-eyed, dreading the end of our vacation. lol. We found a great place to eat out in the middle of nowhere too, but I can't remember where we were.I believe it was called the Blue Pig. It was a barbecue place. We stopped there because there was really nothing else around, and wow were we surprised by how good their food was. It might have been the best barbecue we ever had.
Honestly, it was pretty average... next time I'll make a note to hit up your bbq joint!
What I remember most besides the scenery of these places is the silence. It's just so quiet, it's almost creepy. But really peaceful at the same time. Being more into photo now, I want so badly to go back! Especially Zion. Well, maybe I'll see you out there one of these years. We'll team up and have an epic photo journey!
You are so right about the silence. Where I live, all I hear is cars and sirens and constant noise. When we were in southern Utah, we heard so little of that. It was so peaceful. I miss it.
! I'll definitely make the effort to go there next trip. Of course I'll forget by that point...
I don't live in a noisy area per se, it's pretty quiet, but in Utah/Arizona, it's just dead silent. It's not often you can be outside somewhere and hear the little ringing in your ears. It almost sounds painfully quiet if you know what I mean. Man I miss it. Maybe New Years or next year! I blame you for getting me nostalgic.

Looks pretty pro!
